Women for Women distributes grants
annually each fall. Grant money is derived from
proceeds of the Power of the Purse Luncheon,
Tribute Book sales, and a percent of the
endowment. Grant requests are submitted to the
Grant Committee for review. The Grant Committee
then recommends the selected grants to the Women
for Women Board of Directors for review and
approval. Grants are awarded based on their
ability to provide the following:
- Empower women and girls to achieve their full potential
- Assist women in achieving economic self-sufficiency through a wide range
of options
- Prevent violence against women and girls
- Promote the health, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being for
women and girls
- Encourage the enhancement and full participation of women and girls in
our
community
- Create opportunities for the economic, educational, social, artistic,
and personal growth of women and girls
