Women for Women of Pitt County accepts grant applications annually from June 1st to August 10th. All applications are due by midnight, August 10th. Grant applications are accepted from 501(c)3 non-profit organizations in Pitt County who’s services benefit women or girls.

Women for Women distributes grants annually each fall. Grant money is derived from part of the proceeds from the Power of the Purse Luncheon, Tribute Book and Raffle sales and donations. Grant requests are submitted to the Grant Committee for review. The Grant Committee then recommends the selected grants to the Women for Women Board of Directors for review and approval. Grants are awarded based on their ability to provide the following:

  • Empower women and girls to achieve their full potential
  • Assist women in achieving economic self-sufficiency through a wide range of options
  • Prevent violence against women and girls
  • Promote the health, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being for women and girls
  • Encourage enhancement and participation of women and girls in our community
  • Create opportunities for the economic, educational, social, artistic and personal growth of women and girls
