Women for Women of Pitt County accepts grant applications annually. Grant applications are accepted from 501(c)3 non-profit organizations in Pitt County who’s services benefit women or girls. Women submitting applications seeking funds for an individual are ineligible.


The 2020 grant schedule is currently in review. When complete, the schedule as well as appropriate forms, will be posted.

Women for Women distributes grants annually. Grant applications are submitted on-line according to the identified process and by the published deadline. A Grants Committee, comprised of appointed members of the Board of Directors, reviews all applications and then makes recommendations to the Women for Women Board of Directors for review and approval. Grants are awarded based on their ability to address the following criteria:

  • Empower women and girls to achieve their full potential
  • Assist women in achieving economic self-sufficiency through a wide range of options
  • Prevent violence against women and girls
  • Promote the health, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being for women and girls
  • Encourage enhancement and participation of women and girls in our community
  • Create opportunities for the economic, educational, social, artistic and personal growth of women and girls
